Sabeeha

A mind map over your screen, for thinking while you read.

Sabeeha sits over everything on your screen, and you can see straight through it. Capture what you are reading, write a thought, save a word you want to learn, join ideas together and ask them questions - all without leaving the page in front of you.

Free for your first three maps. Windows 10 and 11.

A see-through mind map over an article: notes, a captured picture, terms and a question, joined by lines

Everything stays on your computer.

Your maps, pictures, notes and questions are kept in a folder on your own computer and never sent anywhere. There is no account to make and no cloud. Reading the words in a picture happens on your computer too. The only time Sabeeha uses the internet is to check your licence key.

What it does

Thinking happens while you read, and the thinking is usually lost by the time you close the tab. Sabeeha keeps a map one keystroke away, over the very thing you are reading, so the thought goes down the moment it arrives.

A map you can see through

Alt + A shows the map over everything; press it again and it is gone. Clicks go straight through to the page underneath, except on the things on the map.

Capture anything on screen

Alt + C, drag round it, and it is a circle on the map. The words in it are read on your own computer, so you can find them again.

Notes that follow your thinking

Alt + W opens a box wherever you are. Each note joins the last, so a train of thought becomes a trail you can follow back.

Words worth learning

Alt + Z saves a term. It lights up wherever it appears, in every map. Write what it means in your own words, and tick off what you can do with it.

Questions, asked at the right moment

Point at anything and pick a question from your own set - what is the purpose, how does this relate, what contrasts with it - then write your attempt at an answer.

Arrange, link and look back

Map mode lets you pan, zoom, link two things with two letters, brace a group and colour a layer. A window of its own keeps your maps, projects, terms, questions and the work you have done.
